First, he found galaxies outside of ours. Second, he developed a way of grouping galaxies. He could determine their age, shape, brightness, and distance. By grouping galaxies, he made his third finding. He determined that galaxies are separate and take up unique areas in space. His fourth finding was his most important. He found that universe was constantly expanding or moving outward. This was a basis for the ‘Bing Bang Theory’. Hubble received many honors and awards for his efforts; however, he never received the Nobel Prize because there was no Nobel Prize given to the field of astronomy. He died in 1953.
